As with Lyme Disease patients in the Kaiser system, West Nile Virus patients are often intentionally misdiagnosed and denied medical care. This website presents useful information for the Kaiser Permanente patient that have developed West Nile and other serious infectious diseases and are having great difficulty obtaining medical diagnosis and treatment that will do the patient good.
The patient that fortunately has put this information together online for the public has also encountered the classic Kaiser Permanente "hand off" by the attending physician to the mental health division. There they attempt to discredit the patient and do provide "happy pills" disguised as anti-depressants to treat a vague mental illness that was suddenly created by the Permanente physician so the patient won't bother to seek further medical treatment.
